Request for correction of birth information


To correct your parent's name, follow the following steps.


If your parents have a birth registration number, then they should correct their name by applying to correct the birth registration information with their birth registration number. After that, if you have given the birth registration number of your parents at the time of registering your birth, then after correcting their name, your birth registration certificate will be reprinted. And if you have not given your parent's birth registration number at the time of registering your birth, then you will have to map the birth registration number of the parent with your birth registration number. After mapping the birth registration number of the parent, if you reprint your birth registration certificate, the amended name of the parent will appear there.


If your parent does not have a birth registration number and your date of birth is before 01/01/2001, you can correct your parent's name when applying to correct your birth registration information. In this case, even if your parents are dead, you do not have to submit any proof of their death.


If your parent does not have a birth registration number and your parent is dead and your date of birth is after 01/01/2001, you can correct your parent's name when applying to amend your birth registration information. In this case, you will have to submit proof of death of your parents
